When they carried out the operation, they came out of the camp, and my family and I also joined them. We walked carrying the Palestinian flag. We returned home, checked the news, and saw the children who died as martyrs, and the world in Gaza. The Israelis bombed them, destroyed houses, and the world turned its heart. I hate the Zionists. I was very upset when I saw many children dying.   At dawn, at 3 o'clock, the camp residents staged a demonstration, and we joined them. Every day, we participated in the protests for Palestine, Gaza, carrying the Palestinian flag, and they placed the Quran in the camp. When I watched and saw the destruction and children being killed, and houses collapsing, my feelings were very mixed, and I imagined myself in Gaza, wondering what would happen.   They also bombed the Al-Mashtal Hospital. We screamed and said, 'May God curse them.' Whenever I sat with my friends, I told them, 'I wish I were in their place, a martyr, rather than living l

Story of Fadia, 11 years old, Bourj El Barajneh, Lebanon

I am Palestinian, and my name is Fadia. I am witnessing what is happening in Gaza.  I have been without food because I see how our people are being killed by rockets. I truly hate injustice and how they treat children. Their homes and buildings are gone, and we feel sorrow because our people are suffering unjustly. When I browse Facebook, I see the world divided, and everyone is dying in it. Also, the attacks on hospitals and people with heart conditions, and those who have died with their names written on their bodies so they can be identified. Everything is gone, but our people are still strong and unafraid. I say to the people of Palestine, may God protect you, and hopefully, Palestine will be liberated. I am at the House of Resilient Children Foundation, and we all joined the protests for our country, Palestine, to strengthen and convey our voice to our people in Palestine. Story of Aisha Salim, 10 years old, Mar Elias, Beirut

My name is Aisha Salim, and I am in grade five at Al-Kabri UNRWA school in Mar Elias. I am 10 years old. When they carried out the operation in our camp, protests erupted, and my family and I were happy with the news. The school also organised a celebration, asking us to draw about Palestine, and those who knew a song about Palestine sang it. When I went home and saw on television that the Israeli aircraft were killing children, I became scared. I started praying for God to support Gaza, and I pray every day. Whenever they turn on the television for the news, and I see those scenes, I pray for God to have mercy on the martyrs and to grant victory to the resistance in Gaza. My cousin and my cousins daughter are living in Gaza. My aunt calls them every day to check on them because we are living in the same place. I hear her asking about the situation, and they tell us about the frequent bombings. Sometimes there is no contact, and my cousin's daughter calls her neighbors because

Story of 11 year old Amal Al-Hamandi, Bourj El Barajneh

My name is Amal Al-Hamandi, and I am 11 years old. I see that Palestine is dying because of Israel. Israel is also launching missiles and killed three girls in a car. Israel is attacking us and wants our land. It is also killing both the young and the old. My mom, grandpa, uncle, and I participated in the protests to strengthen the voice of the people in Palestine. I say to the people in Palestine, God willing, it will be liberated, and Palestine will return to us. I saw on television the children who died, meaning those who were martyred, and those who were injured going to hospitals. I thought Israel would come to our camp in Bourj El Barajneh and attack us. I asked my mom, and she told me no. I insisted, and my mom said not to talk about such things. I also saw children collecting their toys from under the makeshift houses, and children eating. I thought someone gave them toys, but I can't send them. I say to Palestine, God willing, it will be liberated, return, and become b
Palestinian s  in Lebanon  are  refugees since they were expelled from their homeland during the creation of Israel in 1948. They have experienced many challenges and traumatic experiences. Not having a homeland, basic civil rights or ability to plan and build  their  future. They live in extreme poverty.     Palestinians in Lebanon are devastated by what is going on in Gaza. They feel helpless watching the news and not being able to do anything.   They watch civilians - women, men, children - being killed.  Not just by bombing but people not getting medical care, clean water, food and other basic necessities.      In the helpless situation children   can  share t heir   experiences  in  for m  of stories .  Ha ving an adult listen and hear their experiences.  Telling and listening to stories is an important part of childhood and adulthood.  Storycrafting is one way of producing stories by giving the children the possibility to express themselves.     The storycrafting method allows th
